It's now 224 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I wonder what the signers would think if they could see the system in action today.
In any event, hope you had a nice Fourth (for those of you who celebrate it).
This must be a world's record for me; I've gone to three movies this year. The latest was The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. It's worth seeing at matinee price, but not at the full price. When the movie is “on” it really clicks and moves with all the speed and satire of the original TV cartoon series, but when it slows down, it's down to a crawl. Jason Alexander does a great Boris Badenov, and Rene Russo is a very good Natasha Fatale, but Robert DeNiro just doesn't come across as Fearless Leader. Moose and squirrel, of course, are, well, moose and squirrel.
