Moral Dilemma

I was riding my bicycle back from Taco Bell with my standard Sunday morning Grande Breakfast Burrito. I passed a parked car; its owner recognized me from a past life. I didn't remember him exactly, but we figured out where we knew one another from.

In any case, he asked if I could do him a favor. "Blow into this breathalyzer so that I can start my car," he asked.

I thought for a moment, and then said, "I'd like to, but if you were to get into an accident, I could go to jail for the next twenty or so years."

"Oh, come on," he said, "nobody's going to know."

"I'll know," I replied. After an fairly lengthy pause, I said, "I just wouldn't feel right about doing this. I'd love to help you, but it might not turn out to be much of a favor in the long run." At which point I rode away.
