Outdoor Photos

I was particularly struck by this flower outside the Venice Public Library, as well as these purple and green grass-like plants (something I've never seen before).

The very last place I'd expect to find cacti would be near a beach on Florida's gulf coast, but here they are [you can tell that botany is not my specialty!]

I went to the Venice Fishing Pier and got these pictures of birds. The one of the bird taking off didn't come out too well, even when enhanced.

I was walking back from the pier when I saw this bird just parading down the sidewalk without a care in the world.
