Yes, I know I said I wouldn't put in any tourist-type photos, but there may be some folks out there who'd feel cheated if there weren't any.
The last of these pictures was taken from a Metro car on the way to the airport. The scaffolding around the Washington Monument (the obelisk at the right) is temporary while the monument is being repaired.
